![]() To ensure you get the car, drive next to it, pause, go into Photo mode, and press + or. If you want to replace an AI car with your texture, got into your desired Race Day, enter a race, and hopefully your target car should be there. once you see a texture layout that looks something like your car, press whatever button it says up the top (mine's F8, yours might be the Enter key), and there you go. ![]() If you want to copy the textures, go into logging Mode, click RUN, and then soon you'll see all the red text, then go to your garage as usual, press + or - for your desired car. Where exactly does those textures get loaded?i searched for them evrywhere after loading but i cant find them. You've got to open up TexMod and choose Package Mode, then choose the TPF file containing the textures you wanna load. I tried it on a 350z and other cars and it doesnt seem to work.Cud u plz give sum more details on how u did it? Last edited by Bytesss on Tue 17 Jun, 2008 4:55 pm, edited 1 time in total. I'm still having a problem - whenever I try to race the cars the vinyls disappear and are replaced by the normal ones :/ To put a one piece 1024x1024 vinyl on a stock car I've been using the first camouflage vinyl since it seems to have a static address. If you want the car color to stay the same (transparency) you have to use DDS. I've used some vinyls from Carbon in PS, to do it I had to export them as DDS files then make my own 1024x1024 DDS and import it. And one of my AI textures is a pile of vinyls combined together. THat's how short of Ideas I was at the time I made this pic. The guy to the right of my Cobalt is an AI in Battle machine, believe it or not. This coming from a guy who only has MSPaint and has no idea how to hex-edit beyond chaging vinyls in NFS Carbon. I did get it to do just that once - hasn't happened again. However, I haven't exactly cracked player vinyls yet - they tend to jump everywhere and that makes them difficult to make permanent. The Ryo Wananbe car up above is just a simple edit with MSPaint.īack on topic - the AI car vinyls seem to have fixed values, and that makes them easy to replace. The furthest we've gone is replacing textures with others. Scratch-made textures, I/we have yet to figure that out. If I'm getting things right, are you saying you guys have managed to figure out how to make textures in photoshop? So I can add some extra shapes and stuff? or make a layout, combine the layers, then add another lot? ![]() Attachments on my end don't work either, if they did I'd upload the TPF.īaumaxx1 wrote:Woah, hold up. Different base colour and stuff still stands though. Screen is huge though.ĮDIT 2: Scratch what I said about Race Day - it works now. Do we have to colour them white or am i doing something wrong with the paint? WTF? Also note the different base colour and the fact that the windows are now black. It doesn't work in Race Day though - the car switches from this Ryo car to a plain red one with the third kit. Maybe you need to replace both vinyls? The camo texture that can be chosen and the one in the race? Might work for you, but not over here. I might be doing something wrong (the tpf may be in the wrong spot), but it isn't switching. If it works then the camo vinyls have static addresses.ĭoesn't work over here. When you're in the showroom the camo vinyl will be draw but it should switch to the pre-tuned 350z vinyl when you get on a track. Then start the game with Texmod & 350z.tpf. To use it get a stock car (fits the 350z though) and put the very first camouflage vinyl (should be 0x71106F99) on it. There are two vinyls, export the texture while you're on a track, that's the one you want.Ĭan someone test this Texmod. They are even properly labeled.Powerof1000 wrote:I'm still having a problem - whenever I try to race the cars the vinyls disappear and are replaced by the normal ones :/ ![]() Each string is repeated three times, presumably for each of the different brand selections available (they won't be repeated here, obviously). There are plenty of strings relating to various car components and the upgrade levels for those components. The label for these imply that real aftermarket brands (like AEM) were supposed to have some more significance than they ended up having.
